Guide to Programs and Services

Our 49-page guide includes extensive information about the Department including our core services, four strategic priorities, Board of Health, what public health is and how it is often misunderstood, source and use of funds, state health rankings, helpful numbers and a LHU directory.  The guide includes an overview of our programs’ purpose, target population, advisory boards, services provided by year, statistics, case rates and state rankings.  Through this report, we highlight what we do and where we stand as a Department.

The Statewide Pocket Guide and Fast Facts Brochure is a four-page report that includes an overview of local staffing, services provided, helpful numbers, state demographics and economic factors, strategic priority information and rates and rankings by county.

County Health Facts Brochures
County Health Facts Brochures are available for each county in Arkansas and include locations of Local Health Units (LHUs) and names, photos and contact information for LHU administrators, county judges and county health officers.  Each county brochure contains information on LHU staffing, services provided, demographics and economic factors, and strategic priority information, rates and rankings by county.

County Health Facts Maps

County Health Facts Maps contain pertinent demographic, health statistics and health services data available for each county for the Fiscal Year (July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008).  These correspond to data found in the County Health Facts Brochures.
